Robert Matheson
President
Robert has 34 years Experience in the Nutritional Industry and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of contract manufacturing. He’s had numerous management positions at Shaklee Corporation, including operations and maintenance, to give him a broad spectrum of experience in engineering, production, formulation, quality control, and management. As a management advisor at the state-of-the-art, 50-million-dollar manufacturing plant in Norman Oklahoma, he worked to bring the most troubled areas up to standards of excellence.
Since then, Robert has successfully built and has managed five nutritional contract-manufacturing facilities. Robert joined Protein Research as a partner in 1991, focusing on the expansion of sales, production, research and development, and quality control. Protein Research has many industry firsts--including the development of Power Bar--that propelled Protein Research into its current position as one of the fastest-growing vitamin premix companies on the West Coast. Robert is still very much hands-on in the business, and instrumental in ensuring that Protein Research has all the certifications, state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, quality standards, and highly trained staff to compete for business any where in the world. |

Gary Troxel
Vice President of Business Development
An accomplished industry executive with 30 years experience specializing in successful new product launches and long-term global business contracts, Gary works with new customers of Protein Research.
His expertise in domestic and international sales, management, marketing, new product innovation, strategic planning and successful sales execution is invaluable. A proven problem solver, strategic thinker, and innovator, Gary has a track record of establishing partnerships, creating value, and providing solutions.
Gary has established business relationships throughout the world with a contact database of 3500 companies, and has served in multiple related firms in the nutritional industry as a vice president or chief operating officer. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business from Sophia International University, Tokyo, Japan. |

Ashley Matheson
Vice President
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an option in Marketing. After college, she was ready to put that knowledge to use. In July of 2005 she joined the team at Protein Research as Purchasing Manager.
Since then, she has gained extensive negotiating experience; worked in logistics; and cultivated an aptitude for searching out and locating raw materials, quality suppliers, and vendors throughout the industry.
In December of 2008 Ashley became an Executive Account Manager, focusing on customer service through the management of our large customer base. With a passion for keeping up with the latest industry trends, it comes naturally for her to help customers add innovative active ingredients to existing formulas. A natural people person, she revels in attending trade shows and listening to great product ideas helping people through the manufacturing process She even enjoys spending time in the lab working on flavor systems and new products for customers and is very active in sales.
Ashley says, “Protein Research goes above and beyond regular manufacturing to add value for our customers. I’m proud to part of that process.” |
