Behind the Protein – Employee Spotlight

Venkata Pamu is the Product Development Supervisor at Protein Research, leading a team of Product development associates. He brings in his expertise in dietary supplements with a Master’s degrees in Food Science and a specialized Diploma in Dietary Supplement Science along with more than half a decade of managerial experience in new Product development and commercialization.

He’s passionate and skilled at developing nutritional and dietary supplement products that advance personal and public health from concept to commercialization.  Venkata takes a holistic view in translating our client’s ideas into actual products by taking a pragmatic approach.

In his words “I’ve come a long way from being an intern at Coca Cola, Hyderabad to publishing my research thesis on Sugar Extraction for biofuels from Sweet Sorghum funded by the USDA to working in the Consumer Products Industry focused in the nutritional space. My areas of interest are product innovation, renovation, brand portfolio optimization and prioritization through strong leadership and collaboration. The most rewarding aspect of my job is see our ideas come to life. I joined Protein Research in 2018 and the culture here is super collaborative- we all strive to learn from each other. One of the best things about working at Protein Research is that they recognize people should be aligned to their strengths. As a Product Development Supervisor, my role is very dynamic as a result I’m constantly learning as I work and make sure everyone can play to their strengths and do their best without major hurdles. I’m proud to be a part of a smart and talented team that is inspired, motivated and genuinely enjoys working on product development”

In his free time, Venkata plays professional cricket and is part of Chargers and Guardians Cricket Clubs in the Bay Area and loves to travel.
